Women and Girls in the community will be honored at the 2nd Annual Brookland Girls Rock Awards!  The gala that honors women and girls in the Midlands who have achieved professional success while overcoming personal obstacles will be held during Women’s History Month, Saturday March 28th, at the Brookland Banquet and Conference Center!

Brookland Baptist Church Pastor Charles Jackson said the event is a gift to the community.

“The Midlands have been so supportive of Brookland Baptist Church and its entities, including the Banquet, Conference, Health and Wellness Centers, and the Children’s Academy,” Jackson, who is celebrating an unprecedented 49 years of pastoring the same church, says “This evening is a way to show our appreciation by celebrating the accomplishments of Women and Girls!”

Nominations are open through February 24th in various categories including Arts, Politics, Ministry, Athletics, Law, Education, Entrepreneurship, Medicine, and more.  Females that reside in the Midlands in grades 4 through adult are eligible to be nominated.  Self-nominations are also accepted.  Nomination forms can be obtained on the Brookland Baptist Church campuses in West Columbia, in North East Columbia, on their website, or email [email protected]
