Johnny Green is a seasoned announcer with over 40 years of radio experience. The experience began in 1982 with one of the 1st Mix shows (if not the 1st) on Radio called “Master Mix”. From there, its history, Johnny became an afternoon drive personality for years and nicknamed “World Famous” by the late radio announcer Ken Moore (One of Johnny’s radio Mentors) and it stuck.

Johnny later moved to morning show announcer and when the station was sold and changed to a CHR format, now loaded with a new musical format and new on-air promotions, Johnny helped bring the station to one of the top 3 rated stations in the Columbia market.

Johnny later accepted programing and morning show duties for several years before becoming a Producer of “Tom Joyner” and “Ricky Smiley” Morning Shows.

Now between The Rickey Smiley Morning Show and The D.L. Hugley Show you can hear “World Famous” Johnny Green 10am until 3p on Cumulus Media Stations KISS 103.1 in Columbia and MAGIC 94.3 Florence.
